Very simple menu, but, when each item is perfection, why mess with it? They have the best pizza and their cheese plate with salad is beyond good.  The big drawback to this place?  the reason we almost never go?  The wait.  We love the food, love the atmosphere, but, hate to wait and there is always a wait here.  I suppose that's part of the charm, if they were any bigger than a thimble then maybe it wouldn't feel so wonderful.  On the flip side, on the rare ocassions when we resolve to wait we always end up chatting with people and each other, and maybe we need more of that in our lives.

You know when something good just grows on you, and after a while, you can't imagine life without it? A friend, a partner (hi, Spanky!), an animal, a pair of shoes with a blown heel, or even....yes: a pizza shop?

That's Pizzetta. I can honestly say that over the years I have liked this place better each time I have visited. Sitting at the bar with Ms. Spanky sharing an uber-fresh pie with a farm-fresh egg on it, watching the staff do wonders as we sip our wine and look at the cookbooks by the wall and savor the savory cheese salad as the night gets its evening on....

Yeah. Pretty marvelous. And yeah. It keeps getting better.

4.5 thin-crusted, cheese-covered, cozy, comforting, stars!

Deeeelicious!  The pizzas and calzone were great!  Definitely comparable to or better than that of Pizzeria Delfina.

I have to say, I thought it was a bit weird that the waitress has you order at the counter, but maybe I've become a restaurant snob or something.  It was a nice touch that they offer blankets if you're sitting outside, in addition to the heat lamps they have to keep you warm.

The Peroni I had was refreshing, but one of my friends got this weird beer that kind of tasted like soap (maybe our palates aren't sophistocated enough to appreciate that flavor).

This place is tiny, with only about 3 tables or so inside, and 3 outside, so be prepared to wait (although not that many people know about this place, so you might be ok).

"Anyone can fry something. This is an art."
-overheard employee at Pizzetta 211.

Pizzetta 211 has eluded me since I moved to the 'hood in May. One time we showed up at 8, and they weren't taking any more customers because they close at 9. Another time, we had the genius idea to visit on Tuesday, the one day they're not open.

It's so much better than Pizzeria Delfina, the best analogue I can think of right now. That said, though it is similar in style to PD, it comes with less sauce, less headaches and less waiting. It's very small and cozy in here, but the indoor-outdoor seating can fit roughly 20 people (maybe less) comfortably. Given its size, you will be able to hear what a lot of people are talking about (and vice versa, probably), so bring your breakup convo or testy kids somewhere else.

PIZZA YUM! Tomato, basil and pepperoni was better than most, with a perfectly crispy thin crust. J's pancetta, feta and fennel creation was the best pizza I've had in ages; almost no sauce, minimal cheese. Salad with walnuts and feta = yum. Flourless chocolate cake was delicious. Red wine in a cup (a malbec and Sicilian something) complimented the food well.

I'm coming back again and again, no question.

I recently had the chance to attend a lecture by Slovenian academic rock star Slavoj Zizek at Herbst Theater. The leit-motiv of his overwhelming ride into "all-things-ideological" was the set of unwritten rules that we all adhere to in order to get along in society, the social conventions that we take for granted and never question.

One very common routine is the sort of interaction that happens in a restaurant. The characters involved - waiters, customers, hostess etc. - play their highly scripted roles and recite their lines (this is the right spot to insert a quote from Ervin Goffman, the famous chief at Chez Panisse, but that would be slightly pretentious). They all have different goals and objectives and they all work harmoniously (more or less) to achieve them.

Now, in a place like Pizzetta, those rules do not apply. Or, better, a different set of rules is enforced and the resulting performance is, at times, peculiar. This is not, by any means, a criticism. You see, Pizzetta is different because it refuses to conform to the standard etiquette: clients are welcome, but they are always kept at arm's length. If they don't follow the rules, they are expelled from the playground.

The rules are both explicit and implicit. An example of the former is: get your own plate and silverware as you sit on a table, like you would do in a fast-food joint. An example of the latter is: leave the place as soon as you're done, we won't tolerate any waste of time. Which is somehow understandable, because Pizzetta is a very tiny place. It's mini. It's nano. The name of the place says it all: 'pizzetta' means small pizza in Italian. Still, if you go to a restaurant to be pampered and venerated, this is not a good choice.

To make a long story short: Pizzetta offers a wonderful, artistic culinary experience, but it might appear a bit intimidating to newcomers. The waiters are tres cool, a bit edgy. They all look like characters from a Beastie Boys video. And they have little patience for those who do not play by the rules. This place reminds me a bit of the "Soup Nazi", the fascist soup architect from New York that we all know from Seinfeld (mental note: is it just me or every city has a soup nazi character?). Basically, you need to *deserve* to eat at Pizzetta. It's a bit like Dorcia, although nobody wears Armani here.

Food-wise, Pizzetta rocks. I mean, if you're into thin crust pizzas, this is one of the best spots in San Francisco. Is it over-priced? Hmmm, if you use quantity as a criterion, the answer is definitely yes. A tiny pizza costs 14-15 bucks. However, if you care about quality, then the tariffs are absolutely justified. These guys are creative, dedicated, passionate about pizza. For them, it's like a religion. You'd better believe it because heretics will be banned forever.

Bottom line: if you are willing to embrace a new protocol, learn a new paradigm and obey new rules, Pizzetta is your place. Think of their sublime pizza as a reward for your efforts. After all, we all want to belong. And we all want to believe.

PS. Trivia: check out the restroom. It's very creative, so to speak. Other things to consider/remember: they only accept printed money, that is, cash (I always, always forget it - and according to Pizzetta's rules of engagement, this is a mortal sin. Repent, now!)

I have a public confession: I have fallen in love with someone else, someone other than my girlfriend.

Her name is Pizzetta 211, and she's amazing. Let me tell you about her, so you'll see why.

I love simplicity, and the operations at this tiny neighborhood pizzeria are threadbare. The menu has four pizzas, one calzone, two salads, and three desserts. A couple of the pizzas have the option of various meats or cheeses.

The flipside of the menu had a drink list. Something like four whites, one rosé, and three reds.

Tara went traditional, and I went out on a limb. We did this sort of on purpose, to test the place. They passed with flying colors. Their tomato, mozzarella, and basil (we added pepperoni) was solid, and the basil came in near-pesto form (wet).

My pizzetta had red onion, olive, goat cheese, Tuscan salami, and fennel. The fennel part is what scared me, but to my astonishment, it was quite delicious.

Service is bare-bones, too, and I like that. A lot.

The place is charming for a small group of friends, and romantic for a couple.

What more could you ask for?

This is easily my favorite pizza place in the city.

I'm always impressed how Pizzetta takes unusual ingredient combinations and creates plate licking results. I never would have thought that cauliflower or egg would make great pizza toppings, but for some reason they are.

Essentially, this is pizza for grownups.

I have walked past this place for six months and each time I thought "that looks cool, we should try it sometime." Last night my roommate and I finally took the plunge and I am hating myself for wasting 6 months of life without the most amazing pizza ever.

No seriously-- it's to die for-- like, I'd kill you for a free pie.

It's one of the smallest restaurants in the city, sandwiched between an apartment and store on each side. There is a tree directly in front of Pizzetta with lights dangling from the branches. Under the tree are some benches, chairs and a box full of blankets. You'll probably have to wait for a table so they provide you with warmth as you sit outside during a typical chilly Outer Richmond evening.

The inside and outside each have four tables (and the outside ones have heat lamps directly above them). The inside also has one of the coolest bathrooms in town... if you're a guy, enjoy the video on the tv above the toilet as you use the loo. The entire interior is no larger than a loft apartment. It has a few ovens for a pizza, a counter to make the food, a small bar, a table where the water and silverware are kept (you get them yourself), and 4 tables against the walls and windows.

Now decor will only get you so far in my book; you need the food to back it up. And man, this place delivers. They have 5 pizzas each week- 3 that are different depending on the week, 2 that are always available. We each got the same one that had arugula, cheese, baby tomatoes and summer squash. The pizzas are about $13 and individual-sized. Before you take your first bite, appreciate what's been placed in front of you. This isn't just a mass produced pizza that has toppings thrown on it sporadically; it's a work of art. Each vegetable has been placed carefully on the dough in such a way that resembles a beautiful combination of strategy and creativity. The crust is thin and perfectly crunchy. If you're like me and need some kick, hot pepper flakes are readily available.

We went to a friend's party afterward and couldn't stop telling people about how great our dinner was. This place is perfect for small moments in your life: first or second dates, parents visiting from out-of-town, relaxing with a friend after a hectic day of work, or just when you're in the mood for some of the best pizza this city has to offer.

Went back the other day for another delicious pizza, this time with sorrel pesto, heirloom tomatoes, and ricotta. I've never had ricotta on a pizza (much less sorrel), and oh my god is it good. Plus, my friend ordered a calzone (it turns out that they don't make them if they don't think their dough is behaving properly), which, though simple, was also incredibly tasty.

Oh, and don't forget: it's cash only.

Need to start by saying I LOVE PIZZA!  Heard good stuff about this place, and yelp totally backed up what I heard, but my experience was not so good.  My gripes...
- pizza was just about average (ok im being nice)
- They had a very limited menu
- A couple of items off the limited menu were unavailable
- The waiter seemed like he was too cool for school

it might be the intimacy of the restaurant.
It might be the various walks of life that come here to eat or wait to eat.
It might be their wine selection being perfect for what you want with your meal.
It might be the bathroom with a crazy artistic sense and a mini TV that always has something interesting on.
or
It just might be the concept of the open kitchen and the fact that I feel like I'm at a foodie's house hanging out and having a good time.

It might be a lot of things, but it's always a delicious and a necessary Richmond district munching spot.

(Emergency alarm)  BWOOP BWOOP!  CASH ONLY!  Go to the local ATM on Geary before hitting up this place.  And bring at least $60 for two people.  That is useful.  *Click*

Now that's out of the way...Pizzetta, this teeny tiny little neighborhood place, is pretty Hobbit sized.  And I think some neighborhood is missing their pizza place.  Maybe Cow Hollow.  Or Cole Valley.  'Cuz this sure ain't the place I'd expect artisanal pizzas.  Pork buns, maybe.

That's goes to show you how much the Richmond/Sunset areas have morphed lately.  I work blocks away from here, and I can't believe how many hide-a-way sushi bistros and places like Pizzetta are popping up all over the dang place.  Wow.  And now that I know where most of these delicious places are, I am gonna get SO FAT this school year.

We arrived at 6:30, and I am guessing the earlier you arrive the better.  After 7:30, there was a line out the door, people huddled in blankets on the ground, reminiscent of Woodstock...but with a cheese plate and a glass of Merlot.

The service was friendly, albeit slow.  They certainly don't rush you out the door here, and the pizzas are literally made to order.  The ingredients aren't sitting out on the counter for even a nano-second.  Everything is pulled out as the order is taken, and everything is remarkably fresh.

We started with a suggestion by the waiter, which was a squash salad with fresh ricotta and sugar tomatoes.  Drizzled with olive oil and balsamic, it was very tasty, beautifully put together, and so simple it was perfect.

Then, we ordered two pizzas, each priced at about $14 each.  One was layered with prosciutto, figs, and balsamic, which was a powerhouse of flavors.  The salty-sweet combined well, and the cheese was cooked to the point of being chewy, not stretchy.  The flavors together jumped up and smacked me in the mouth.

The other pizza was with olive oil, arugula pesto, potatoes, and pancetta, which was a much lighter and delicate flavor.  The crust was unbelievably thin and perfectly crisp and chewy.  I was fighting off my husband for the last piece.  I won, natch.  But I had to surrender my crusts.  Punk.

If you eat an entire pizza, plus a salad, and a dessert, you will probably not be able to fit inside this minuscule restaurant.  My advice is to get the salad and dessert, and then order one pizza and share.

Better yet, order two, and give me one.

Food was delicious!!  A great hole in the wall neighborhood restaurant space.

As so many others said below they are not so customer focused but  we went right around 5 pm so well before the dinner rush so it was bearable.  Calzone was exceptional and tasted so fresh as if it was made to order, so many restaurants and pizza places have these sitting around for days and serve them every so often (or at least they taste that way) but not this one.  It was delectable.  Pizza was good and they have some fun artisan flair on the basics.

First, Michael Bauer is a skinny little bitch for not even placing Pizzetta on his "Top 10 Pizzas in the Bay Area" list, because Pizzetta is NUMBER ONE! (Don't argue with me.  Yes I've been to [insert name of your favorite pizzeria here].  I've tried them all.  Pizzetta is better.  Get over it.)

Second, last night they offered an egg/chorizo/guacamole pie that, while not traditionally Italian, may be the single most delicious pizza I've ever tasted in my entire life.  And that says a lot, because I am old.

I've never really been a pizza gal. I know, that's kind of weird, but it's just never been my thing. Maybe it's the fact that you typically eat it with your hands, and I like food that requires a fork and knife. Maybe it's the fact that sometimes pizza's bad, and you really don't know until you take a bite. And then you become depressed because your expectations were high and the pizza let you down.

People say that bad pizza is like bad sex--Overall disappointing. I say that bad pizza is worse than bad sex. At least with bad sex you can change up at least your side of it, and occasionally end up with mediocre sex. There's nothing you can do to make bad pizza mediocre. It's just bad pizza. And completely wasted calories.

Pizzetta 211 has made me a convert. I am a pizza gal now (well, at least a Pizzetta gal). When Joe C. and I sat down at one of the little tables outside underneath the heat lamp, I looked at the menu and said, "I can't possibly eat an entire pizza."

Along with some of his egg/chorizo/guacamole, I ate the entire Margherita pizza. I preferred mine, but his was tasty too.

They run out of things often, like last night they had no more calzones, and Joe told me once that they ran out of dough on a night he went, but doesn't that just show their authenticity and freshness?

If you get there and all of their 7 or so tables are occupied, they have plush blankets to wrap you in so you don't shiver while you wait.

Although to this Potrero Hill gal, California and 23rd Ave. might as well be Egypt, I will be back. And often. Maybe I should move.

I had to try this place out based on all the good reviews about the food (not the service) here on Yelp. I live in the neighborhood, absolutely adore thin crust pizza, so I drove by and double-parked outside to go in and order to go on a Friday evening after work.

I hobbled my way in there (still in a knee brace at the time) and made my way to the counter, where a server immediately took my order. I went back outside to wait in my car, just in case a meter maid decided to cruise on by. Then I went back in to pick up my food, drove the four blocks home, walked upstairs, dropped my purse on the floor and opened the pizza box.

SO good. The crust was perfect. The pizza was a perfect balance of flavors and not too oily like other places. The crust, oh my...I can't wait to go back there again.

Can't put in my two cents about the service since I didn't eat there, but everyone I encountered in my short visit was courteous, if not friendly.

Theres no way you would find this place if its not by word of mouth or yelp! Its in a very residential neighborhood and im pretty sure is the only business on the whole street. A blend of rustic and modern with risky and conventional flavors but it all works great.
The place is small and the kitchen is one with the bar you can sit at. When you go wash your hands theres a trippy video playing on a mini screen there. i actually enjoy washing my hands here more than usual and am always curious what is playing on the little tv.
anyways, on to more important things. They always have an excellent salad with a variety of delicious cheeses. We got the gruyere and parmesan pizza with pinenuts and rosemary. We saw it from creation to finish and it was delicious. Last time we had the summer squash with basil and that was also outstanding. Their calzones also look amazing as well and ill try one of those next.
Desserts here are also amazing we had the strawberry shortcake that was again constructed right in front of us and they serve blue bottle espresso as well!
In short if you like pizza and are looking for a casual yet memorable and fresh lunch expierence you have to stop by here. and try it. im currently trying to find an apartment next door.

Great thin crust italian style lil pizzas.  This is not your standard order a piece of cardboard to go pizza place.  It's a tiny dining room with great service for a meal meant to be cherished and enjoyed.  A place for neighborhood people, best to walk else take the bus or taxi since street parking isn't likely and the neighborhoodies don't want your car here anyway.  Come early or be prepared to wait for a table since there's only like 4 tables inside and 2 outside.  ...with expectations set, prepare to enjoy  a simply fresh meal and a bottle of wine.

First time I write a review of a restaurant where I've never eaten. We went to Pizzetta on Thursday and when we got there we got this answer: "We've run out of Doh". They were very nice with us and indicated some good restaurants in the area. In one answer they are telling you, we care, we use daily fresh ingredients, we'd like to have you here next time,... and can't think about a better way to say no. We'll definitely go again to PIzzetta, we got the impression they are great.

I love innovative pizza. Seriously. And this place has crazy neat pizzas. I had a pizza with pine nuts, rosemary, and really yummy obscure cheese that I had never heard of before (I don't even remember the name). Their menu isn't overwhelming, just a handful of quality choices. I think everyone I went with was thoroughly content with their food. We came here for lunch, and there were only two other people inside. We sat outside and it was overall an enjoyable dining experience.

This place is solid.  I love the vibe - tiny, cozy spot with very friendly and hip staff.  There's a little waiting area outside and they provide blankets for chilly, foggy evenings.  The cheese salad is incredible, and their ingredients are usually organice and very fresh.  Minus one star for running out of the pizza we wanted, though.  Oh, and the deserts are incredible -- we had a rhubarb pie, and it was mouth-wateringly good.

Almost don't want to add another review as this place is great but so tiny. I used to go when I lived out by the Cliff House.

Its super duper tiny, and as noted by others they can/do run out of items.

These people care about what they make, and I have never had anything out of their kitchens that wasn't awesome.

This is a great little neighborhood restaurant.  We had the summer squash pizza with a mixed green salad and the appetizer of the day Stuffed peppers with sausage.  The pizza was original and very fresh and tasty.  The mixed green salad was nothing special, it did have a nice vinaigrette which was tasty.  I didn't care much for the stuffed peppers with sausage, to me it was a little dry and could have used some sauce or cheese.  I really like how tiny and cozy this place is and the service was excellent too :)

The pizettas here really are THAT yummy. Their ingredients are terrific and I can smell the freshness every morning when I walk out my doorstep. The wait is long, though. And they only serve 100 pizzas each day until they run out, so I can appreciate the freshness but I still want more!!!

And the wait staff are cool.

Not that it needs another great review, but I love this place. It is that perfect neighborhood place everyone is always looking for. Because of its size though (or lack there of) I have taken the "geriatric" dinner approach and am usually there between 5 and 5:30. So completely worth it!

Pizzetta is to thin crust what Little Star is to deep dish.  In my opinion, the only two pizza places worthy of 5 stars in the Bay Area.

The wait can be long, as many reviewers mention - no street has seemed colder or more windy on some nights.  It's what has sadly kept me away for a couple of years, because it greatly pains me to watch others eat while my stomach grumbles and complains.

Problem solved:  we went late on a Saturday afternoon (after 3pm) and were able to snag two seats at the counter.  It's one of the best places to sit, since the staff is almost always present and you get to watch the artistry of the pies being created.

If you have not been there, know that there is some protocol to follow:
- Order at the counter
- Get your own silverware, napkins and glasses of water at the table inside
- Pay cash

I suggest that you order a starter or two as pizzas are made to order and can take some time.  We shared the Artisinal Cheese Salad which is wonderful and generous, and the Roasted Beets Salad, which was a plate full of sunshine-yellow beets with cheese toasts and greens.

I love the Margherita pizza, but on this day I tried the cheese, rosemary and pine nuts one - to which we added a fried egg on top - terrific!!  What lovely flavors together on the most perfect, perfect crust.  It was heavenly.

For dessert, we splurged and split a piece of the fruit galette of the day, made with raspberries and nectarines.  It's a dessert you can have even if you are full, because the crust is fairly light.  They serve it with a generous dollop of whipped cream, too.  A dessert as homespun and charming as the place itself.  They serve Blue Bottle Coffee, which is an added bonus (although not for the people who are waiting for your table!)

It's all about seasonal ingredients and simplicity here, which I love.  And knowing when to go, which I do (now).

The pizza was good. The crust was nice and thin and crispy (my husband thought too crispy for his taste, too much "like a saltine cracker"). We shared a Margharita and one with potato, pancetta and gruyere as well as the mixed field green salad. He preferred the first pizza while I preferred the second. Both were good. I had a glass of rose that was fine although it seemed like it had been opened for a while.

The staff was really cool and friendly. I didn't realize we were supposed to order and pay at the counter. Luckily, it was early and they didn't seem to mind too much. I definitely enjoyed the little table by the window. Quite cozy.

At the end of the day, it was nice to have a bite to eat with my hubby. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to go back though. I honestly felt it was a touch over priced (really a touch by a couple of bucks per item) for what it was. I guess if I was in the neighborhood... maybe.

Oh yeah, cash only.

Ask 20 people to name their favorite pizza place in the city and you'll probably get 20 answers. Of course 10 of those people will probably say "There's no good pizza in this city!" Well I beg to differ.

Tommaso...Pizzeria Delfina...A 16...Nob Hill Cafe...Little Star...hell, you can even get a great breakfast pizza at Rose's or Ottimista. And now I have discovered a pizza that may be at the top of my list - Pizzetta 211.

The place is tiny and in the middle of nowhere (yes, I consider the Richmond the middle of nowhere...hell, dating someone in the sunset would be a long distance relationship for me) but they make some of the best pizza I've had in the city. Fresh ingredients and interesting toppings make for a great pie but what I love most is the crust - thin and slightly blistering and oh so good.

If you're in the mood for some fantastic pizza do yourself a favor and make a road trip out to the Richmond...you won't be sorry. Come hungry, bring cash (no credit cards accepted) and be prepared for a wait but trust me, it'll be worth it.

A friend brought me here because she loves their pizza. She wanted my take on it so we headed out on a weekend night, around the peak dinner hour which was perfect, since we snagged the last table!

The three of us were starving so we ordered 3 pies

- Rosie's farm egg, sliced heirloom tomatoes, pancetta & ricotta salata ($13.75): I liked the raw egg on top (yummie when you mix it in with the pie), but thought it was salty with the pancetta
- Savory spinach, red onion, nicoise olives & feta ($13.75): my fav outta the 3...the taste of each ingredient complemented the other and was not too overpowering.
- Roasted eggplant, arugula-walnut pesto & ricotta ($13.75): bland

Service was friendly and attentive. You can tell that this is a great place when the employees know people who walk by the restaurant and ask how long the wait is. By the time we left, there were three parties waiting for a table and that's not counting several other parties who wanted Pizzetta 211, but didn't want to wait. Oh...they should have waited!!

The pizza just rocksI It is so good that it is worth the pain involved in getting it... the wait is long, the place is dinky and they only take cash.... and fairly frequently they run out of ingredients (i.e. dough) for the day. But the pizza really is worth it!

Perfect place on a nice warm day (even though these sorts of days rarely happen in the richmond district). If it's cold, this place has heaters perfectly placed right above the outdoor seating.

The thin crust pizza is delish! Everything is fresh made to order! Perfect intimate spot for a first date. Also, very dog friendly if you are sitting outside.

Although this place has a small menu, and an even smaller interior, it is a worthy place to get some tasty thin crust.  You might need two rootbeers for the wait, but it is worth it.

So I'm sure this is a local hangout being its location hidden away in the Richmond. But thanx to yelpers and some deep searching we had a really amazing lunch today. My husband and I had a "date" to see the Chihuly @ the DeYoung Museum (which I think the last time I was there was like when I was in 4th grade? shit eons ago) Anyhoo after visiting the museum and being inspired by all the amazing glass work we wanted something good for lunch. I had already scoped out this place on yelp yesterday and read all the reviews and it sounded quaint and the food sounded fresh and unique.
I liked the feel of the neighborhood, and the size of the restaurant being very intimate and cozy (though I could see it being crazy at dinner time). We arrived around 1:30 on a Thursday and it was pretty full, but were able to get a seat inside for two. They also have a few tables for outside seating, and on a nice day like yesterday was perfect(but they were taken).
We ordered two of the pizzas of the day a summer squash with tomatoes and ricotta cheese and another with pine nuts, rosemary and a very pungent cheese  I can't remember the name but had quite a "kick" with every bite. The crust was thin and crunchy and the cheese perfect and chewy!
Each pie is made to order and fresh, fresh, fresh!
Like someone said its cash only (we were prepared) and with a couple of beers and a fabulous piece of flour less chocolate cake (I don't know how they make it so light and fluffy?) it was $42. Worth every penny!
We brought one piece of pizza home with us.
The the salads of the day also looked wonderful too.
Parking is challenging but we found some metered parking out on Clement with an easy walk. I know we aren't "locals" but it made our day out in SF. I love the flavor of the city and I prefer finding those out of way "gems" to have a really great meal.
I added my two pizza's to the pics.

This place is so good that I almost don't want to review it, but I guess the cat is out of the bag.

They specialize in delicious thin crust, Italian style personal size pizzas, with interesting flavor combinations. My favorite is definitely the wild mushroom with some kind of minty oregano type herb on top. The one with the egg on top is interesting, I love the one with pine nuts, and they make a mean Margherita.

I've been there twice with a group of friends and even though the place is small they seem to be able to pack us all into a table.

I recommend ordering a bottle of wine and getting there early. The wait can be long if you get there later in the evening.

The place is a little quirky, but in the best tiny European cafe type way. You have to get your own plates (and I have no idea where they keep them) and my friends and I sat at the bar and then got kicked out into the street for a while, but we had our wine in tow so it was no stress, and we just drank away happily on the sidewalk.

We found the staff friendly, professional and kind.   After reading the reviews here we were a little worried  that there may be attitude.  I don't know if the A team was working tonight, but they were great, the only attitude was good attitude!  The pizza was delicious, as well as the salad.  The atmosphere is cozy and warm.

Some of the best pizza in the city but the place really makes you pay for it, both literally and figuratively.  There are two inside tables and a tiny two seat bar.  Sure, you could sit outside but in the outer Richmond?  Whatever, sasquatch.

Pizzas are pricey, service is leisurely, and they're cash only.  But it's just so damn good!

Yes, it's small so there might be a short wait. Well worth it. Thin crust pizza with fresh ingredients. The rosemary was aromatic and the margarhita was simple and tasty. The cheese salad consisted of: 2 large slices of fresh country bread, 2 types of insanely good cheeses, candied walnuts and spring mix. All kinds of yum. The flourless chocolate cake was dense but not too rich. I can't remember the name of the Italian beer...but it was quite nice.
oh yes, our server Carlos was super friendly and attentive. In fact, the whole place had a great laid back atmosphere.

I braced myself for the snobby service we'd receive, but it was all for nothing.  Granted, the service in general wasn't overly friendly (not to mention, they were skimpy with the bread after having to request it)--they're more straight and to the point, but it's the typical grunge you'd expect from a good pizza parlor.

The field greens salad was very simple, a small bed of greens that was barely enough for two.  I highly enjoyed the squash pizza; it was light, yet still filling.  The rosemary and pine nuts had a nice roasted taste, but was too cheesy for my liking.  Do leave room for dessert; I doubt you can
